CASE STUDY: How to Double your hanging Space for an Art exhibition

Bega Rotary Art Fair

The Rotary Club of Bega hosts an annual Art Fair at the Bega Showground, inviting local artists to make submissions to exhibit and sell their work.

The Challenge

The Rotary Club of Bega were inundated with entries for their annual show. The challenge was to create a dynamic gallery space within a traditional room, to create maximum hanging space to accommodate the many submissions, and to assist with crowd control for visitors attending the exhibition.

The Solution

Portable Partitions Australia recommended the 360 Degree Room Divider range with artwork hanging systems. Two folding 7-panel dividers were selected at 2.31m high. Each were 5.94m long in a cloud grey fabric.

To facilitate the hanging of works, 18 artwork hanging systems were purchased which provided the capacity to hang 108 hanging works.

The intended result was achieved, with the Fair being able to exhibit over 250 works from artists. The partitions were arranged in a way that maximised the space and contributed to a professional feeling exhibition. The partitions also helped to establish a sense of direction for visitors as they moved through the exhibition.

An extremely versatile product, the partitions can be neatly stowed away when not in use. The Rotary Club of Bega will also be used for their next upcoming show.

Testimonial

Thank you for organising our Partitions to be delivered in time for our Art Show. It was a great success, and we would have been lost without the extra space available. We had over 250 pieces of art. We are now about to use the partitions in the ‘Bega Show – Art and Photography’ section at the end of next week.
Thank you once again for your wonderful service, really appreciated.
